Linda B. Bodnar

Executive Coach and Organization Development Consultant.

Linda B. Bodnar was Vice President, Management Development, at Prudential prior to becoming an external consultant. Previous roles include various management and internal consulting positions at Prudential, Nabisco, and Verizon.

Linda has over 25 years of experience in developing and implementing approaches for improving executive and organizational effectiveness. She has been coaching leaders since 1994, first as an internal coach and then since 2002 as an external coach. She has worked with large, mid-size, and small companies in varied industries. With a focus on leveraging strengths and identifying strategies to increase effectiveness, she incorporates assessment, feedback, and action planning to assist executives in reaching their goals and attaining lasting improvements in their leadership efforts. She is particularly effective in helping leaders address style issues (e.g., collaboration, conflict management, EQ, developing/coaching) that impact their own effectiveness and that of their teams, and in working with driven leaders to focus that drive on developing themselves to be the best leader possible.

In addition to executive coaching, her areas of expertise include organizational assessment/development, team building, performance management, and multi-rater feedback. She has:

  • Successfully coached over 200 individuals across the full range of potential coaching situations, including new leader assimilation, coaching high potential leaders as well as seasoned executives, and working with struggling leaders to create a turn-around.
  • Developed and facilitated a variety of team development sessions and series of sessions with leadership teams and intact work groups (e.g., leveraging style differences – through MBTI, DiSC, and others; managing conflict; setting ground-rules; enhancing trust and communication; creating vision/strategy; identifying goals, roles, etc.), resulting in stronger team performance.
  • Managed large and small scale employee surveys, from the initial stages of survey development to feeding back the results and action planning, bringing about sustainable improvements.
  • Designed and delivered effective workshops and learning events in areas such as coaching, performance management, behavioral interviewing, and career development.

Linda received her Ph.D. and M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She has her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and SHRM-SCP certifications, as well as certifications in a number of assessment and 360-degree feedback tools, including Hogan Assessments, Leadership Versatility Index, CCL Benchmarks, and PDI Profilor. She has worked with companies in financial services, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, professional services, not-for-profit, and others.

A partial list of her clients includes: Medco, Pfizer, PMK Group, Prudential, Thomson, and the Newark Museum. On an affiliate basis she has also worked with a variety of clients including: ADP, BASF, Bayer, BD, Johnson & Johnson, Novartis, Realogy, Roche, and Wyndham.
